ROOTS is here!

The summer has flown by, and September is going to be here before we know it.  That means, among other things, cooler temperatures and of course, ROOTS!

I am excited for Roots.  We are at the beginning of something big that I believe God is going to do through us at Stone Oak Bible, and it starts here with our first meeting together.  Thank you for being a part of this!

CHILD-CARE FOR ROOTS

We will have child-care provided for our kids from the age of 1 through the 1st grade.  We want to do this so that you guys are not having to worry about finding baby-sitters.  We have a great space for the kids, and we will have some great people from outside of Stone Oak Bible Church who are giving their time and energy to care for our little ones.

Here is what I am asking of you: Let’s be generous and gracious to these people!  I suggest two things: One, families with kiddos, let’s bring $5 (per family, per meeting) (or more if you feel led). We will take the money and distribute it to the workers as a way to bless them.  And two, lets try to do something to show them our appreciation. Even if this is simply stopping in and saying thank you at some point during Roots, let’s show them that we appreciate them.

If you are a family with children and you are in a season where you are unable to bring the $5 every time we meet together, DO NOT LET THIS BE THE REASON THAT YOU DO NOT COME.  Just come.  You are welcome here, and  you’re kids are welcome too. My heart in this is simply to bless our child-care workers. So, if your family finances are tight right now, I encourage you to think of another way to show them your appreciation.
